NewAbora OS v4.1 Horizon is out.

Abora Atlas

Undecided

Long-term support, when it's ready.

Atlas is the new name for what used to be called Abora LTS. It's a direction, not a shipped product. The work is close to release-ready and what's left is mostly bug fixing, but whether it ships depends on whether people will run it. It now looks like a v5-era project. The lifecycle and support model will be defined as the project grows.

Where it fits

Part of the Abora family, not a separate OS.

The roadmap groups the project into Abora OS, Abora Labs, Abora Cloud, Abora Framework, and Abora Atlas. Atlas covers long-term support. Server work lives under Abora Cloud.

Goals

What Atlas needs to deliver.

A longer support window

Backported fixes and security updates on a stable base, instead of following every new release.

Still Abora

The same NixOS base, rollback, ANIX, and abora config tooling as the standard release.

Validated updates

Updates should be checked before they touch working configuration.

For people who need stability

Schools, labs, small teams, and anyone who would rather not chase a new version every few months.

Community poll

Would you actually run Abora LTS if it shipped today?

It's technically close to release-ready, there are just some bugs left to work through. Whether it's worth pushing that last stretch depends partly on whether anyone would use it. No account, nothing stored except your own choice on this device.
